F1 » Rosberg Schumi's strongest team-mate, 'could be best of them all'

As Michael Schumacher concedes that Nico Rosberg is the strongest team-mate he has ever had in F1, Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Vice-President Norbert Haug wonders if the younger German might even be 'the best of them all...'

I think Michael is saying that Nico is the strongest because of Michael's personal results so far this year.If you followed it through to it's natural conclusion, Mark Webber would be the greatest of all time, because he was convincingly faster than Nico when they were together.
hopefully Michael races again in 2011, because I think that year would give a far better pointer to both his and Nico's comparison with each other.

Actually its quite simple really :D Schumacher was too good before (or should I say too bad) and he always 'owned' the team before, hence his previoous team mates being No 2. Now Schu is a spent force and Rosberg can get on with it and being No 1  :D

I think the results are clear for all - Schu is too old, too slow. He needs more time but doesnt have it - Nico is cool about it, but then again - he has the results. My guess is that Nico will get 1st driver treatment and schu will be back surfing f1jobs.com.

manxie. whats "trash" about this? it is reporting haugs comments. but it does show a move from merc, in favour of nico. maybe they realise that they would be better off concentrating on giving nico a car to suit him, rather than trying to massage schumis misplaced ego!

Nico had better watch out this weekend, why?, because MS is extra motivated,I bet the rest of the pit lane are shaking in their boots with all this extra motivation and all, why he might even qualify higher than 7th, the mind boggles. I dont think I can handle all this extra motivation stuff on top of the electrifying performances he has turned in so far this season, its just too too much.Nice one Nico, way to go.
