Bobby, that is exactly my point. The teams know what they are looking for in a driver, and they obviously haven't seen anything that makes them interested in PAYING a Bruno Senna and let him drive for them.

Point is, and Johnny made it very clear, even in a Minardi, yes given it was a team with proper experience etc. but still a sh$te team nevertheless!

Alonso was capable of showing F1 what could be done in such a sh$$te car. No one before him got that much out of that car.

Bruno does not set the F1 world alight - period, otherwise he would NOT be paying for his ride! :?

manxie. you do minardi a big disservice. this was a small independent team, run by an enthusiast, and was noted for giving a large number of drivers, a leg up into f1. remember, even webber scored points in a minardi. i cant remember the others he helped. the team was underfinanced and was highly respected

richard, I'm with you on Minardi and it certainly wasn't my intention to diss them - not at all. I was merely drawing comparisons with the then back markers Min and todays HRT, and the performances that GOOD drivers got out of the Minardi at that time.

If Senna was as good as most posters on here state, then he would've done something special (within realms of course) with the current rubbish HRT, like FA did with Minardi. Thats all i was trying to get at. :)

manxie. understood. and as you will see, i have been saying the same. senna is only on a par with chandhok, and if he was special, then he would have been trouncing him. also as you know, after testing for two or three teams last year, he was not selected, so must not have been considered suitable. some people seem to think that driving skills must be inherited, but lalli/senna is not even ayrtons son. and i can tell you, i used to race and rally competitively, but my son certainly has not inherited ANY mechanical or driving nous!
