Talk is cheap. US Grand Prix in Texas will last as long as Bernie has his carnie fingers greased. I think the track will actually do better with MOTGP with Ben Spies making some noise, and if Edwards can hang on to a seat, it will help as well (although I can see him doing a special appearance if he does not have a permanent bike). With Indy's contract expiring this year for motogp, and laguna seca not being a sure thing (currently a one off for just MotoGp), Austin can swoop in and grab a race. Or who knows maybe 3 moto races. If these guys don't follow the indy model and price the tix too high, this 10 yr contract wont last.

Cant wait....Last one i went to was Indy, and Sepang before that.
4 hrs for me in Richardson.....
Lot closer than Indy for sure.
Brother lived in West Kingsdown, and never exercised his free annual ticket, offered to me but F1 was gone by then.

Bernie, what impressions did you take home from Austin?
Bernie Ecclestone: First of all, when Formula One returns to the United States we wanted to go to a place that has global recognition. Texas fulfils that perfectly, so Tavo's plan and our needs matched perfectly. And Austin is so beautiful. Anyone visiting for the first time will be very impressed. And now comes something important: I've known Tavo since he was born.

Hey Olek, your comment is wrong "......and laguna seca not being a sure thing (currently a one off for just MotoGp)..." Dorna renewed the MotoGP contract throught 2014 for Laguna Seca. Yamaha put lots of effort in bring MotoGP back to Laguna. Laguna is a staple in the MotoGP calender. Indy is the race with a question mark after this year.

It would be cool to do a MotoGP race in Austin, but F1 specific tracks sometimes make for bad MotoGP circuits.
