Speaking of second tier.

The newspaper claims that Mercedes GP have already depleted their budget for this year's Championship, forcing them to stop developing this year's W01.

'Mercedes has an estimated 180 million Euros - the smallest budget of the top racing teams,' reports Bild, adding that it is already 'overdrawn.'

Game over for Merc. But it looked that way from the start.

Game Over for F1. Let's face it, it's all over.
Just a bunch of spoiled rich kids circulating the track for 70 something times usually in the same order they started the race. It's Bullshit.

The IMHO grades by me (who am I? another jack donkey poster :p)
VL: C-, his early form saves him from a D, spending time with pit babes again? the mere threat of him losing his seat makes me decide to change it to a D+
NH: C+, agreed, not the next coming of MS? too hyped
SB: B-, no way he is worse than VP, just has a crap car, did not make any major mistakes, JA ramin him don't help
PD: C, agreed, late form helping him, Luca coulda learned from him
JA: C-, after aus. I thought he learned from MS, less time djing, more time in the simulator, your age is not an excuse
HK: B+, agreed, nuff said
KC: D+, no points for being nice in F1
LD: D+, lunch meat for Glock

JT: B-, agreed, stunt in Monaco
BS: D+, I'd rather not give grades cause this car is twitchy as hell, but for all the hype, I've seen no flashes of brilliance, although I rarely see the backmarkers at all on the tele
TG: B-, relaibilty shmiabilty, doesn't seem any better than trulli
SY: Incomplete, poor attendance, Ms. Yamamoto your son does not show up for races, therefore I cannot grade him. He does seem to be playing DJ hero with Jamie a lot though, I hope that works out for him!

Greg, I think you're absolutely right.

There's something BADLY missing from F1. There's just no passion in it these days. It's more like a hobby for rich kids than actual motor sports. I've noticed for myself that I don't even care who wins anymore.
