Rossi won't be in F1 unless Ferrari can run three cars and that needs sign off of all the teams which will never happen, cost cutting and running three car teams makes no sense.

I think Vale would be great for F1 but he's missed his window surely, he's need a few seasons just to get up to speed properly, he's an awesome talent but look at how Schumacher is struggling with the current regs and he's a 7 times WDC

If michael is struggling then rossi wouldnt have a hope competing at a level he would expect of him self.

but much though i would have liked to see rossi in f1, i think the window of opportunity has passed, and there is no way he would be put on the team in place of far more capable drivers. he has signed for two years, and by that time, vettel will probably be with ferrari, alongsider some other hot shoe. but rossi? no way!

Rossi need not to prove anything in F1 or car racing. He has done a massive great deal to motorsport racing. The Doctor himself could retired in couple of years and form his own racing team and passes on his experience to juniors in order for future "Rossi" to grace the motorsport industry.

If Ferrari ran a 3 car team then we could see him doing some 'wild card' drives at circuits where crowds are low, and of course in Italy.

I don't think he'd ever do a full season, so unless we see King Bernie change the rules it will continue to be the occasional test in last years car, making true comparisons impossible and keeping the PR dream alive.
