F1 » Vettel 'underestimated Webber', Rosberg, Sutil 'surprises' of 2010

Ex-F1 ace Gerhard Berger rates the current crop of young Germans on the grand prix grid, suggesting that Sebastian Vettel is a world champion in-waiting but crucially 'underestimated' Mark Webber, that Nico Rosberg is every bit his countryman's equal and that Adrian Sutil has been 'the surprise of the season' thus far

i can see where berger is coming from in relation to rosberg. schumi and others say that the merc is a dog, yet rosberg seems to be able to wring its neck. so if he can drive a dog to a podium, what would he be able to do with a good car?

@richard

I was saying the same thing last year when de drove for Williams, got that car far higher than it should have achieved on occasions. His time at Merc has done his reputation no harm, ironically we all thought the reverse would occur :)

This shows how important is car and how close all top drivers actually are. All those "slow" drivers become podium contenders as soon as they are given a good car.

Ive always rated webber as a driver even when he was driving the RB3 and RB4 because he was consistenatly in the points during those years while poor old DC was struggling. Now he is in the best car he can show his full potential.

I really dont get that comment. He underestimated Mark? What the funk is he talking about? This would make sense to me if it was Sebs decision to hire Mark but was not Mark there before Seb? Why is it an issue with Seb? I dont know it just seems like a stupid thing to say because I really dont see how and why he would say such a thing. Is Seb running around scared of Mark now? Is he saying this to the press? Is HE saying he underestimated him and it is causing problems. Who would be a better teammate, Danica maybe? There are plenty of drivers that would do well in that car. Would he have underestimated them as well? Stupid comment man! :?
