Most are over looking this tire change. Bridgestone did not supply them with any information to go on. Yes, I know that this is not Pirelli day one but an F1 effort has not been on anyones job list for a while. Hopefully they provide a good product and do their brand well. They have a lot on the line. Nick may be able to help his old team if asked. Ross wouldn't do that would he? Maybe send MS as not much bothers him.

andrew. fantastic contribution! you must still be up with the birds!

pirelli have actually been testing their tyres for several months now. the same tyres will be used in GP2 next year, and they have been running the gp2 car with ben hanley for several months. in fact, the toyota and gp2 car have both been running the last few days. so pirelli have already amassed a good deal of data. it shows that they are serious.

@ andrew

Of course they'll be able to take on a 20 race calender you idiot. They fly all over the globe supplying tyres to WRC and World Superbikes. They're not underestimating the sheer scale of supplying F1 teams with tyres.

As for calenders and birds. At about November time you'll be able to purchase the new 2011 Bird Calender featuring the Robin, Seagul, Swan and Ive heard rumours they're including the sparrow :-o

I could do with having a job like Nick Heidfield (instead of working in a boring office ) Its also true what they say about Racing Drivers - they never spare any tyres  :D :p

I am also getting incredibly furious by all the ridiculous 'pop ups' - in form of advertisement on the CrashNet site (these are effecting my computer). Thing is I am having a 'love/hate' relationship with CrashNet. I love my CrashNet but HATE the pop up's  :-o :?
