F1 » Button: I've no idea what Vettel was doing

Jenson Button: I certainly didn't brake any earlier than usual. All I know is I suddenly felt a big bang in the sidepod, which ripped the radiator out, and then I lost drive. I've watched it on TV now, and I'd say it was a very strange incident.

Vettell got off lighly. He should be given a harsher punishmnet, it wasn't the only incident he was involved in. Hopefully the stewards will review all incidents.

@ Richard your comment is sickening. Vettel is over ambitious and that is bad. If Hamilton had done the same you would have been here running your mouth.

Vettel sometimes is a good driver but in some situations he is an idiot.

Hamilton Fan, I seem to remember all the Hamilton haters saying exactly the same things about penalising LH harshly every time he makes a mistake. Do you think the sport would be the better for it if drivers were penalised every time incidents like this happened? Would you be beating the drum demanding punishment if it was Hamilton who'd spun on the damp patch and taken out Webber?

ruggy. I am not sure how you make out my comment to be "sickening". it is only the facts.
button was slowing and backing up 5 cars. vettel had been trying to pass him for a couple of laps. he came up alongside and under braking, the car had a tank slapper on the damp track, and possibly caused by a bump on the road. at that time, he was a passenger. do you think that he deliberately steered into button? get real! it was an accident. many others were caught out by the track conditions. i fully accept that vettel was caught out and needs to curb his impetuosity. but i watch f1 to see a race, with passing. not a procession of drivers, afraid to have a go.
