A friend of mine who works at the FIA has told me off the record it's not going ahead.

Apparently they are going to run the GP at Knockhill and Gordon Shedden is getting the 2nd HRT car.

You heard it here 1st !

If the race doesn't take place this year...will it take place next year? I read somewhere that it's a 6 or 7 year deal. I hope to be in Korea next year and would love to go and watch the race.

taz. i bet that bernie would be afraid to go there to collect any fine, if the race was cancelled!

on your shedden comment, would he be happy having to give way to his team leader again, as per second race at knocker?

commodore. the korean track has to undergo final inspection for f1, by 22 sept. if a later gt race has been cancelled, ten there would be no rubber on the track and there would be grip problems for f1. but bernie says the teams may have to use tents!

As for the this track not being ready it doesnt really suprise me as I always doubted korea as a country to host a f1 race. Are they really ready to do this??

@richard

I bet he wasn't happy, unfortunately Matt's daddy owns the team.

Watched the BTCC for the 1st time in a while, a far cry from the RS500 era.

Hope Plato wins it over Matt Neil.....actually I'd rather anyone won it instead of Matt Neil :)
