In case anyone is wondering why he didn't have the insurance, his manager was supposed to arrange this. He has told Chris everything was arranged, yet this was not the case. Now Chris is suffering!

Last night I fortunately got to attend to the Chris van der Drift Karting Event. It was so nice to see so many drivers from all different categories attend the event. In the end 31 teams of 4 drivers raced, each driver was at the wheel for 30 minutes. I also got to meet both Mark Webber and Karun Chandhok, which was a bonus. Most people donated more that the compulsory £10 entrance fee for spectators, and each team had to pay a minimum £250 to race. I got to stand with all the drivers in the pit lane while watching the race, and the majority said that they were surprised that so many people attended the event. It was a fantastic event for a good cause!

I can answer (as one of the organisers) No Mark came along with Roger Cleary Mark's physio independently. Roger is organising Chris's treatment to speed up his recovery Daniel Ricciardo and Jean Eric Vergne also came along and raced to help Chris..

Just a little plug we have received a lot of racing memorabilia and we plan to auction it quite soon on Ebay with some great items from F1, Superleague and A1 GP even pieces of Chris's car (On Chris's web site and FaceBook)
