Fernando Alonso gave Ferrari pole position for its home grand prix, while Jenson Button ensured that Red Bull missed out on the front row for the first time in 2010.

how long before the first anti alonso rant? but his fast lap seemed effortless and controlled.he didnt even need to go for a final lap. pity to see the bulls of the front row at last! but they will still be a force in the race.

Good job by Alonso. Pressure of a home race and team orders and he looked smooth as ice getting the pole. The start of the race will be very interesting as crash kid is in a desperate spot.

now this is a difficult one to call so many teams and drivers with different set ups and potential. Dont count out any of the championship contenders yet its only early birds.

Richard you must mean farce, red bull couldn't go a full race without somekind of accident or mess up. I am glad that theres some different faces up front and hope to see a good race tomorrow obviously i want mclaren to win but so long as theres no flexing wings, no save fuel talk and no avoidable accidents when the chequred flag falls who ever wins is the winner not based on penalties or anything else, pray for a race like spa :)
