First Ferrari driver to get pole in his first Italian GP with the team since Niki Lauda.

First Ferrari pole position this year, which just happens to be at home.

Awesome!

first pole for nearly two years, and you are talking of ferrari dominance?? somebody had to get pole, but whoever it would have been , other than red bull, does not smack of dominance. do you remember the brawn dominance last year, as well?

Considering nothing is what it seems in F1 and considering the bad press ferrari have recieved lately and considering the bad press Fernando Alonso has recieved lately...

it is a MIND BOGGLING coincidence that Ferrari get this result when everyone has a downer on them

but like i said NOTHING is what it seems in F1

my congratulations to the field of F1 drivers who have today let Fernando Alonso sit on poloe for the race..

good luck on the procession!

Ferrari seem to have sorted out their aero problems albeit leaving it a bit late in the season, and after 13 races Fernando managed very comfortably to get pole position at Monza with a best time of all of 1.21.9... No one topped 1.22 so his performance was superb.
In my opinion, both Fernando and Jenson deserve their grid position of 1st and 2nd and I wish them luck for tomorrow as both are excellent drivers who have been thwarted by luck all season.

With a seemingly slower car, set for minimum downforce, as against the setting of his teammate, Lewis Hamilton in 5th position has a job on his hands, especially when according to Christian Horner the strategy of RBR for tomorrow is to get both cars ahead of Hamilton in the race. I look forward to the fireworks, especially with Vettel behind Lewis and Webber in front.

Ferrari and Fernando deserve a win at Monza, but let's not count our chickens before they are hatched.
