As an F1 fan and a motorsport journalist, I enjoyed the event, it was a great race, especially for Ferrari. Rotten luck for Lewis Hamilton. Rookie Hulkenberg should be pleased with his performance, and I am sure he would remember Mark Webber.

Superb drive by Alonso and all the Ferrari team.
Button, intelligent.
Hamilton, what a stupid move. Talk aboout Vetter...
Vettel? engine problems? team orders maybe? great drive anyway.
Webber, very intelligent and a WDC drive with the slowest car of the top 3 teams.
Great race!!!

Where are all the Vettel bashers? Shouldn't they be admitting Hamilton did a stupid move? He acknowledged it in the post race interview... "don't know what I was thinking..." Me either.

Damn, damn, damn on the Hamilton front...stupid move and yes he should have waited because he would have got past on the straights. On the other hand, Lewis has been immense this season, before this he had not made a single mistake, no oher driver could say that...
Anyway, moving on, Lewis is ONLY 5 points behind Webber!!! :D

I'm not Vettel's biggest fan, but was impressed by his drive today for sure and he really deserved those points.
Button, brilliant, almost faultless, didn't agree with his annoyance at the team about coming in before Ferrari tho...McLaren had to jump first, Ferrari could react to them but not vice-versa.
Massa, he's back :) I SO wanted him win, when he came out of the pits it was close but not quite close enough...in reality he never would have been allowed to finish ahead of Fernando tho.
Great, confident, fast drive from Alonso...even if I still think he's a whinging Spanish git :p

Bring on Singapore :D

@ Hannah...
What makes you think that " he would have got past on the straights"?
He didn't run the F-duct, something LH admits was a mistake... JB with the F-Duct couldn't open any time to FA...

@Frank G

Whilst I am not sure Hammilton could have got past, Button, even with the F-Duct was 12 kmph slower than Hamilton so you can't say that without the F-Duct.Hamilton had no chance.

It was a stupid move by Hamilton though (and yes I am a Button and Hamilton fan) - he should have waited. At least he held his hands up to it when interviewed by the BBC.

Great drive by Button, and as much as I dislike both Alonso and Vettle drove superb races today.

Hulkenburg should have been penalised for his stunts though. Cutting it once was pushing. Twice was pushing it too far, thrice was just too much. I understand Webber's frustration!

However, it was a very boring race... I gave up watching it and started working half way through just keeping the commentary in the back ground.

Frank, out of the top ten qualifiers, Mclaren had the fastest (Hamilton) and slowest (Button) cars through the speed traps, so if Hamilton could have got close enough to the back of the car in front then there would be a good chance of him overtaking down the straight. However, the same could be said of Button and Alonso and the problem there was that Alonso couldn't keep close enough in the corners. The only person who seemed able to overtake anyone was Webber, and that was only passing the lack lustre Mercs, Williams and Renaults. As Stacy said, it was a boring race. At least it doesn't last too long.

Agreed about the race. Not much excitement. Ferrari are obviously strong at Monza, where they have the most support. The only intereting thing, for me, was Vettel's strategy.

I think that after the pitstop, JB backed off. Something I don't think that LH, if he was still in the race, would do. He would have tried to harrass FA into a mistake.
