F1 » Todt: Only 'fools' think FIA looks out for Ferrari

FIA President Jean Todt has hit out at those who suggest his regime as the head of F1's governing body is biased towards Ferrari much like his predecessor Max Mosley's was deemed to be - angrily branding any who claim as much, 'fools'

You are the greatest fool ever, Mr. Todt, if you really think that we all are going to believe FIA is not Ferrari biased. I'd even add that it seems you're still in Maranello's payroll...

I guess I am a fool then.

Ferrari committed an offence that resulted in gaining points in the drivers championship. He still has the advantage that he gained by his team breaking the rule. So no effictive penalty was given for what the stewards declared was a breach of the rules.

So the FIA have said Ferrari broke a rule but has allowed them to keep the advantage they gained by doing it. As a result it is possible that the advantage gained by breaking that rule could result in Alonso winning the championship.

It is quite clear that the FIA has given favourable treatment to Ferrari. Ferrari International Assistance is back in business under new management

@Steven Roy - How do you feel about Hamilton breaking the rule about stopping on the track in order to have enough fuel to test and thus getting an unfair pole position? That one only cost $10k. Maybe the FIA assists more than just Ferrari?

If they had thrown the book at Ferrari it was headed to a real court in which the FIA would again be shown to have no power to enforce it's own rules as happened with Spygate. They could hardly afford such a high profile defeat, again. And like Rob01 said many of the other teams did not want Ferrari punished for something that they all do. Besides FA pretty much negated any advantage gained with his spin at Spa.
