F1 » 'Spectacular' seventh for Kobayashi

Kamui Kobayashi: I tried my best and I am very happy. It was a great race for our team, and I'm very pleased for the Japanese fans who have watched an exciting race.

His determination (and skill) is making the Sauber look much better than it really is - and making more experienced drivers look mediocre. I don't think he's going to transform Sauber's chances - but his performance will not have gone unnoticed by the major teams. A fabulous and very enjoyable performance.

egzio, the two saubers were on different strategies, so a direct comparison is not possible. nick has done well as he has not driven during the season, apart from last race. in suzuka, he was the match of koba, but pulled over for koba to pass him, (team order??) as koba was on newer tyres and had a chance of catching cars in font. however after conceding a place, nick was able to conntinue matching koba. korea will probably see nick in front again
