@ richard
The rules are not that strict, I hope you noticed the deference between a Ferrari and Renault, or HRT.

Mercedes will design a car closer to the requirements of Shuey and Nico. Perception plays a large part in the (drivers) car's overall performance, plus a little luck.

JV once explained to me how the diameter of the steering wheel can and will effect a drivers lap times.
The little things we dont see really comes into play in F1.

Mercedes has the talent to produce a winner.
Shuey I fell may be just that missing link needed to push the team to the front in 2011.

So all this rules, tire, thing, whatever,
forget-about-it.
Just wait until next season.

jose. the rules cover the basic car. ok they can look a little different due to aero add-ons, but under the skin, they are all pretty similar. you say merc have the talent to produce a winner, but have they? their "talent" hasnt been able to do much improvement to this years car. and maybe all other teams have greater talent. bulls have newey, who is worth all the other designers put together.
i agree that we will hae to see what next season brings, but if merc and/or schumi boob again, will you eat humble pie?

You can only defend someone so much, when they don't have the right car under them. At this point in the season, no one, Alonso, vettel, hamilton...could have won a race in the car M.S is driving...No one.

gonen6t. said with conviction, but how on earth do you know how any of those mentioned, would have fared? nico was better than in previous years, so assuming that alonso et al, are faster than nico, normally, i think that you could have been surprised

@ richard,

I will wait until next season. I'll be the first to say I do not know the inner working of Merc.
But what I see on Paper is they have some very good personal. One thing that must not be overlooked rich is Merc has the Bucks to get to were there they want to go.

Well Shuey, will I eat crow, man I'm not right all the time, even most of the time. I'm a speculator like most here on the forum.

I still remember what Massa stated " Do you really think that Shuey has forgotten how to drive" I bet Rubins would say the same.

Wait until next season., if I'm wrong, ok
Eat crow, heck NO!..
I'll drive over to McDonald and do a big Mac. Oh God!!!!
