F1 » McLaren extends Vodafone deal

Vodafone logos will continue to adorn the sides of McLaren F1 cars for the next three seasons after team and sponsor reached agreement on an extension to their successful relationship.

JET must be beside himself with anxiety by now. According to his mid-winter predictions, Mclaren were damaged goods and, following the exit of Merc, the Woking squad should be having garage sales by now to try to raise the money for air fares to Brazil.

Really though, the fact that a big sponsor like Vodafone commits for another three years to a team when the economy is not so great and the team doesn't look like winning either championship this season shows that F1 is still a cost effective marketing vehicle for them.
