F1 » Berger: Webber tried to take out a title rival in Korea

In an extraordinary claim, former grand prix star Gerhard Berger has accused Red Bull Racing's Mark Webber of trying to take out one of his F1 2010 title rivals in last weekend's inaugural Korean Grand Prix

Capt. Obvious. Berger's argument is Webber tried to take out one of his title rivals. Since Vettel was in front of Webber at the time that means FA or Hamilton.

My argument is Webber would not have wanted to have FA nor Hamilton out of the race since they were the only ones left on track who could have kept Vettel from winning. The reason being, if Vettel would have won that race Webber would now have definitely lost the championship since the team would back Vettel. If Vettel would have gotten second or maybe even collide with FA or Hamilton Webber would have still had a chance. As it turned out, he was lucky Vettel had the failure but he couldn't know that was going to happen at the time so it was actually in his best interest to keep FA and Hamilton on track.

An Austrian trying to take the heat off the Austrian Red Bull company. Trying to make Webber look bad so that it is justifiable to still support the 5 year old Vettel. Gee I hate Red Bull, but I want so badly that Webber wins the WDC.

I have to disagree to Mr. Berger. I think that Webber had possibly no control of the car's brakes.

I you look closely at the the crash, you'll notice that the left rear control arm broke or the the tire was deflated after impact, leving the car with almost no contact patches for the right side tires to(now in the air).

I don't find Alonso Or vettel particularly interesting as people but at least they weren't crashing into people all season long either of them would be more worthy of the title than webber, he's lucky to be in the position he is in right now plain and simple, he came into contact with hamilton in melbourne, his teamate in turkey hamilton in singapore kovalainene in valencia and now Rosberg...
not even mentioning the countless others he squeezed and blocked...
everytime someone catches webber chances of pulling of a clean pass without contact are very VERY low he's an idiot plain and simple.
The Mclaren and mercedes probably looked similar in the rain i guess...
not saying he did it on purpose but i wouldn't put iy past him.

Just look at the footage you wombats! He had one wheel cocked in the air and the other locked at the front. He was a passenger when he cam back accross the track! I love F1 as a sport, I hate all the drama queens who try to make out that every situation that happens is sinister! Not sure I spealt that correct! Racing is racing, these things happen..... get over it!
