F1 » Todt: Don't take F1 for granted, we live in a 'fragile' world

Jean Todt: I'm sure F1 has a very strong future because let's not forget it is amongst the most important sports on the planet. It is extraordinary what Formula One means, and the fascination around it, but we cannot take it for granted.

I feel Todt has been quietly doing his job.

He's not as visible (or as much as a media hound) as that Mosley character for sure, but I feel he conducts himself in a manner more befitting the head of a sporting organization - none of those controversial (bordering on delusional) comments by Max M.

There will probably always be a pinnacle level of open wheel motor racing, whether its called F1 or has new name with new rules and budget limitations. 'Formula 0' is an evolving zero emmission franchise which is evolving from cart level at the moment. The current F1 franchise needs to keep changing to remain relevant to the modern world in order to survive. That means being at the forefront in developing high performance, efficient and low emission cars and engines. By doing so car and engine manufacturers will see it as a relevant developmental and promotional platform.
