F1 » Brabham: Webber 'has blown' F1 2010 title chance

The first man ever to claim F1 World Championship glory for Australia over half a century ago - Sir Jack Brabham - fears his compatriot Mark Webber may 'have blown' his only chance of emulating that feat with his Korean error

yes, my impression of weber is he is a bit to dirty on the track. Seems he would rather drive into people than race them fairly.

I can see him taking Alonso off at some point and handing the title to Vettle.

Maybe Horner isnt so daft.....

Racing fan, Webber and Schumacher have a very similar style but Webber has more incidents that actually result in contact. They both crowd people on straights but unlike Schumacher, Webber does not know when to back down.

I can forgive Webber's spin in Korea. It was similar to Alonso in Spa. The biggest screw up was taking flight in Valencia. That was completely unnecessary.

Ferrari is in tough position b4 next race. They don't have any new motor to use unless they take 10 grid penalty for it. What happens here is - they start next race with used motor. Can't ran it as hard as a new one and it has a few horsepower less. So Ferrari is not as strong as Bulls and has to cope with this factor. Now imagine Alonso blows the motor or it is finished by any other reason. That would mean no points in next race and 10 grid penalty for next race. Alonso is in much worst shape than you think. Mercedes shows signs of great strength and there is always Kubica that can take points away from you.
I'm far from saying Alonso will not make it. But clearly there is lot of things that can go wrong for a Spaniard. Roseberg or Kubica may screw things up for him a bit too

pinio. many posters have addressed this issue. ferrari have at least two engines each, which have covered minimal mileage. this is the same as red bull etc. further, ferrari have reported that the difference between a new engine and a used one, is as little as 2hp. i dont think that you will see any engine problems from any of the front teams.

Yeah - i just cked. Currently Massa used 9 motors rest of them (front runners) 8 each. I'v got this feeling though that Nando will not get it this year. Webber is the guys. Betting on him can win you about 250% right now.
Bulls are quickest no doubt and Nando have problems with McLarens and Roseberg and Kubica occasionaly. Plus Nando had no mechanical failure this year as of yeat!! Rest of front runners had at least one or two. This is not a good sign for Nando although it doesn't imply he has to get one.
I would put my money on Webber

Sir Jack Brabham, I really like the old fart. I own a B40 Cosworth (my play toy and yes its very fast). About Webber I think you are only half correct. True its going to be difficult but not impossible. The odds are not in webber favor.

Just remenber the golden rule...

It not over until its over!

Its the car not Webber. You could put Kumi in the car this year and he be in the same place as webber. Ive said since Ifirst meet him in 1993 webbers an also ran. But these days hes a rich also ran he should be happy with that. WDC not likely
