A familiar F1 combination could be set to re-appear next year, it is being speculated, with rumours that Hispania Racing rookie Bruno Senna is poised to jump ship to a Renault-powered Lotus outfit...

What a joke. He was outperformed by chandhok and then more notabley klien in singapore which was a huge margin. 1.6 secs of in qualy. He only just manages to beat yammamoto who is no speed demon. But perhaps the uncertainty at HRT is effecting him more than the other drivers. If he gets the lotus drive i wish he can prove me wrong.

sennas manager has also claimed to be talking to several other teams . including williams, so it is difficult to know if this is all rumour mongering. dont forget, he was saying ,last year, that he would be driving for a various major teams, but nobody was interested. senna has performed poorly, and a number of incidents have involved him.
as beeflin says, it is probably someone adding lotus, renault and senna names, and trying to make out that it is something historical, and would bring success.

As much as I would love to see Senna, Renault, and Lotus back together, I seriously doubt they would be able to re-create the magic of past. Bruno's down fall now is his name. People will always look at him to re-create what Ayrton did, but that is impossible.

At 27, I have a bad feeling that Bruno missed his chance in F1. If he was good, he would have been in F1 a lot earlier.

From the Lotus view, signing Senna would not hurt. Kov has plenty of experience to drive the team in development and to me Tru-less never really performed to keep a ride in F1 IMHO.

Doesn't Jarno have a clause in his contract stating he gets a certain amount of notice ahead of being let go? Hasn't that window already closed for next year?

Difficult one this its hard to know how good Bruno is because the HRT is so bad, you only have to watch it for 5 minutes and it looks horrible, i think the drivers are lucky to even get one good qualifying lap in without at least some trouble plus on top of that Senna and Chandhok had no real F1 experience at least Klien did to answer the point that was brought up Bruno got into F1 late through no fault of his after Ayrton was killed and then not long after Bruno's father was killed the family decided not to allow him to compete until I think he was 21
