1997 F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve is to be recognised for his motorsport exploits by being enshrined in Canada'a Sports Hall of Fame.

Jacques has done enough to ensure his place in Canada's hall of fame. My heart must betray my true feelings, that Gilles was a greater driver, but still the lesser is not without his due. Thank you Jacques for all you have given us.

Gilles was a driver who did not understand the concept of giving anything less than 110% regardless of the cars limitations!! Jacques, well, he was a World Champion and deserves his accolades but we need more drivers like his Dad.!!
