F1 » Kubica: We need to improve balance

Robert Kubica: The main target overnight will be to improve the balance of the car because it was not ideal today – I was struggling with inconsistency and low grip. None of the changes we made really allowed us to make a big step forward, so we need to work hard this evening to make progress.

It is not looking good for Robert. Renault is still 1s behind the leaders. Well slower than top 3 with Merc, Williams and Sauber not that far behind them. I am slowly losing hope with Renaults ability to give Robert faster car.
Engineers leaving, manufacturer leaving, money problems, lack of major sponsor, inexperienced second driver etc. Gloomy outlook for 2011.

If Proton (Lotus) is going to invest in F1 then there may be some hope for RK.
They should aim for the best, bring Newey to Lotus-Renault.
And get better second driver. I hope Petrov stays in F1 but he needs a year in a smaller team.

Renault should introduce a new engine (in collaboration with Proton) to bypass the ban on engine development.
