No one gets on pole these days by being lucky, if williams get rid of him for another driver with no experiance there must be something seriously wrong with F1

The thing that is seriously wrong is that Williams is losing a few big sponsors. They love Hulk. But they love and need money more. Hopefully a pole can wake a potential sponsor.

hulk, yeah you're doing that all right, but getting through to the final session would have sufficed. you didn't have to stick it on pole haha. glad you did though. one of my favourite f1 moments ever. hopefully, the race goes like monza 2008

The qualifying time difference between Vettel in second and Fernando in fifth is 0.44 sec.
The difference between Hulkenberg on pole position and Vettel in second is 1 full second plus.

Don't you all think that this is rather silly or a freak result??

Nigel, I think there are two things happening here. One is that it was a drying track and Hulkenberg set his fast laps right at the end. We also drivers hot laps vary by big margins, e.g. Hamilton did his best lap and the next one was about .3 down, so in those conditions you get unpredictable results.

The other factor is that Williams might have set up heir car with downforce more suited to low fuel and slippy track, and in the race on high fuel and dry track we might see the Williams burn its tyres away and struggle to keep pace. I hope not, but its a possible.

I think you're right on the money with your analysis Alan. That said we will find out what set up was williams on tomorrow. I also believe that Hulk is coming to his own after early struggle. This guy could do no wrong on his way to F1 and it was only a matter of time before he would come through.

Thanks Nico hulkenberg for saving my satisfaction of what fernando alonso have done to his self who's "playing in safe zone" and he deserved that lowly 5th place and i hope he retires as i dont feel he dont deserved his driver's championship title. You remind me of ayrton senna in damp wet condition, i wonder what you can do at pirelli tires next year. And i can cleary show right before the end of q3 that on q2 his building his gap to the championship leader, up until q3. I hope you win nico hulken berg tommorrow.

with fernando with an engine failure
lewis hamilton mistake failure
mark webber and vettel colliding
and michael schumcher 2nd and 3rd for kobayashi.

starsports channel here is stupod, they delayed the qualifying because for that stupid manchester football and to wait for 3:50AM and only to find out that they just showed a sort of quick replay for qualifying.

If showed this kind of performance early this season, he could collect sponsor from his effort and save his seat for williams. because frank williams needs money to cure his f1 cancer and needs to die now. as he is useless on the team.
