michael, yes there was good strategy, aided by sc. but did you not find it odd that button, with new softs, stayed behind lulu, when he would have been expected to be about 1.5 seconds quicker. i wonder if it was a voluntary slow down or not. of course, there is no such thing as team orders in mclaren.

Ladies and Gentlemen this is not over yet!
Last race in Abu Dhabi is something more than a race, it's the chance to be a CHAMPION. I'm imaging Alonso with a calculator, pencil and paper working out his options and Vettel praying for failures on Alonso's car.

I hope that chance comes to Webber or Alonso's hands and not on "Goldfinger".

tarkus. why not vettel? he deserves it just as much as either of the other two, or maybe een more, in view of the bad luck he had earlier in the year.

but some questions on the race. does anyone know what happened kliens car, traelling so slowly and losing 4 laps? and what exactly was wrong with massas front tyre?

What happened to Renaults strategy?????????????
Petrov was holding HulK and Kubica for ages so Robert lost 3 positions to Button and both Mercs!!!!!!!!!!!!

That put Kubica behind Rosberg in WDC

So Richard, you assume the only reason Button didn't try to get past Hamilton was because of team orders, not because Button realised that the only way he was going to stay in contention for the WDC was if he won the race, and as he clearly wasn't going to do that, the next best thing was not to hamper what slim chance his teammate had ? I think Button has often shown he is a much more mature guy than you think he is, and in fact probably than you are. We all wish our heroes to be more sporting and do the right thing, but you can't give credit when one of them actually delivers it.

half a buck, i didnt mention lulu due to the fact that he has only a infintisimal chance of the title. however, i do agree that if he won, and the three others eliminated themselves, then he too would be a worthy winner. i dont mind who wins the wdc, as long as somebody does, but whoever does, just watch the vitriol on this site!!
magician, button was faster and on softer tyres. he stayed behind lulu, and yes, it probably was to give him an outside chance at title. i just queried as to whether it was his decision or was he advised by the team!
and thanks for questioning my maturity, rather a silly comment, as yo do not know me!
