F1 » Hamilton: The other three have a lot more to lose than me

Refusing to admit defeat heading into the F1 2010 season finale in Abu Dhabi, McLaren-Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton insists as long as he's still in the title chase, he'll 'give it a shot' - and if he can't win, then he hopes Mark Webber does

the parralels between mclarens 07 season and red bull this year, hamilton lead the standings for most of the year despite being beaten on the stopwatch and outraced more often than not by alonso, mclaren backed the driver who was usually second of the pair and lost everything, lewis hasnt been outraced by a team mate since then

With ALonso's engines all very old and worn, and the RBR rivalry likely to boil over, you can't really blame him for still having some optimism.

Monza aside, LH never had a chance of beating RBR. His car's not quick enough simple. FA's the real winner. RBR should have wrapped this up long ago but blew it cause they did'nt back Mark when he was way out front. I can't see FA losing unless SV runs him off the road

Lewis on the podium on Sunday? Well as he said the others have more to lose that he does. He drives his heart out and that is for sure what he will be doing not just on Sunday but the whole race sessions. I don't for one minute doubt that he could not take pole and win the race as anything can happen and it usually does. Vettel,Webber and Alonso have to have their cars in tip top condition and with already over worked engines this is going to be a concern. Tyre puncture, being taken out by a rival, team orders, foul play, the list for a DNF in F1 is endless. Its going to be an exciting race weekend from Friday through to Sunday. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So, is he really saying he's happy where he sits in the standings. The next quote we'll hear is 'I'm really uncomfortable where I sit in the standings. I wish I could trade places with the Hamster." F. Alonso

@ben m and lewis fan: ferrari engines are fine, and webber has a new one, he change it in korea, were he basically did not race and in brazil the engine was fine, that radio chat was for the show only (i bet good money on that).
