Sebastian Vettel secures the F1 2010 drivers' championship after winning the season finale in Abu Dhabi – and as a result Red Bull Racing does the double.

Consider for one moment, F1 has more vehicles in the field than MotoGP, so why not have the same scoring system, top 15 score points...

oddly enough Jaime Alguersuari would have lept up to 13th overall on 70 points for the year, instead of just 5....

Oh and SV would have lost out to both FA and MW

Ferrari blackened the sport by fixing the result and imposing team orders even though their banned in the german grand prix, Red Bull allowed to let their drivers race fairly, which is what all fans wanted to see, 1 word - JUSTICE

I feel quite relieved after today's race. We didn't get the championship decided on the day by any dodgy stewards decisions, or by Webber colliding with someone, or the Red Bulls swapping positions on the last lap, or an engine reliability problem. We also didn't see Alonso winning the WDC by less points than he gained from the team orders incident earlier this year. Even tyhe Toro Rosso shananigans with Webber and Massa didn't affect the results. And mercifully Vettel didn't go round thrusting the finger at everyone when he won. Somehow, we've ended up with a result with very little controversy in it.

Mathematically it was a great season. Racewise a lot less.A lot of the race results where decided by strategy/pitstops, errors or mechanical failure.
As a racefan I miss the "action" on track. As we could see in this last race, overtaking is almost impossible. Imagine that overtaking wasn't that difficult due to technical limitations dictated by the FIA. It would've been a "fantastic" season.

RH, do you think the points change was effective or just made it harder to figure out the permutations at the end of season? Yes, I think F1 is now about "strategy" rather than racing and I'm worried that next years regs, with KERS and movable wings which you are only allowed to use a set number of times will make it even more a game of calculators, where the driver who manages to save a wing adjustment because the SC comes out will have the advantage at the end of the race. I'd like to see cars able to overtake and with less controls, not more.
