Is Sebastian Vettel the rightful winner of the F1 2010 World Championship, or should the crown have gone the way of Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber or Lewis Hamilton? Have your say right here....

Well, the question is written in two ways in the same piece - "right man" and "best man".

As a Mark Webber fan myself, I still acknowledge that Formula One is basically about ultimate speed. Whatever we may sometimes think of certain personality traits or various drivers, or off track politics (on track politics for that matter), Sebastian Vettel seems to be, on balance, the outright fastest man in F1 right now. At Abu Dhabi he took a storming pole backed with a peerless win, leaving his rivals trailing - not for the only time in 2010. I find it hard to argue against his title.

As a Ferrari and Fernando fan I was dissappointed at the strategy that utimately lost Alonso the drivers title, but Vettell has been the fastest man throughout the season. A deserved winner.

If we talk in terms of consistency FA woulb be the winner, he made the most of his car. LH is the most courage drivers trying to overtake when is even almost impossible, make him sometimes look a bit silly, he needs to calm his temper down in order to become a trully awesome driver. MW was a guy fighting in two side what make it more difficult though we can't forget that he had the best car.
SV was the quicker in one lap, a bit dissapointed in race pace and lack of consistency also need to take it easy he has been too spoil by RBR let see when he's got a new teammate what will happen.
There are many winners but just one get the crown and that one always deserve it.
Congrats SV.

The Red Bull was clearly the superior carthroughout the season. The fact that Vettel took so many poles and didn't convert them early in the season speaks volumes about the limitations of his ability. Had Hamilton or Alonso been in that car the WC would have been wrapped up in October! Like last year, an inferior driver won because he had the best car. Vettel is not a "worthy" world champion. Without refuelling, and circuits on which you can actually overtake, it all came down to who could be quickest on Saturday and when you have the fastest car that should be a lock 75% of the time. Vettel NEVER led the championship until after the last race - a poor display given the dominance of RBR. If Mclaren and Ferrari improve their cars to the point of being equally competitive then I predict at best 4th for Vettel next year.

Yes, SV definitely deserved the title.
If you consider that he didn't make any more mistakes than any of the other top drivers but had a lot more mechanical failures. That he was almost always the fastest on the track, that being in quali or during the race. That he probably was the most focused when needed and pressure was biggest then yes, he's the right one and best one also.
And yes, I'm a SV fan.

This is ridiculous. RB tricked his own driver a la Ron Dennis, yet those who cried against Ferrari s team orders now accept that Webber was robbed the chance of a WC.
Alonso is the best driver out there. Working with a retarded crewchief has prevented him from taking the title. I have no doubt in my mind that Ferrari will come back stronger and sweep a few WC.

Best team and fastest car won. Vettel is no match to Alonso.
