F1 » Crash.net's F1 2010 top ten: 2nd

Fourth place in the standings might not seem too great a reward for a campaign of constant, unstinting commitment - but Lewis Hamilton's dedication to the cause in F1 2010 has been duly noted in our end-of-season top ten countdown...

The number one should be Alonso, as I said yeaterday. But a british website can't put Alonso first, because they hate him after 2007 and especially now when he is driving with the archrival of the british team FERRARI.

This article was clearly written by Anthony Hamilton, because no-one else could possibly be so biased.

Hamilton had the fastest car in Montreal. And wasn't it pressure from Webber in Istanbul that caused Vettel to crack (I vaguely remember something about the two teammates crashing into each other... Maybe Hammy was using his Hogwarts training to cause that). And it was championship pressure that caused Ham to 'crack' in Japan, destroying his car in free practice?

As on overtaker without peer? How many cars did he damage (and races he retired from) while trying to overtake or defend? Monza was worthy of a F3 racer, and Kubica showed him how to overtake properly on the outside in Singapore (same corner, same move, but without the supreme arrogance that caused Ham to bash his car into another). Kobayashi and Kubica are better overtakers. Hamilton never was able to pass Kubica in Abu Dhabi, what he? Without peer? Hardly.

...And that point you make about battling for the WC in your first four seasons regardless of the equipment. It really does help to be in a MCLAREN. I really don't think Hamilton would have won anything in a Toro Rosso.

Hamilton deserved to be 4th at best on this list- maybe 3rd if your a fan of slap-stick comedy and enjoyed watching him push his out-of-gas car down the pit straight in Montreal...

Why should Alonso be number 1? He finished with fewer points than Vettel and won fewer races despite being 'gifted' one.
Hamilton out performed Button but i'd have put him about 5th behind Webber, Alonso, Kubica.

Love it crash. Brilliant writeup...also sums up why me and other fans of his are fans of his...because we value a fighter, and we know in Lewis Hamilton we get a racer who does not compromise, and will seize what little opportunity he sees to overtake his opponents.
Had the McLaren been up to par with the Bulls, I do not doubt Lewis would have been hoisting up the champions trophy this year.
