I wonder just how long the (fans) people
of India will continue supporting, carrying the banner for Force India without a Indian driver, its been a long time now the team is competitive.
While its best to have well developed experience drivers to get started, the Force is well passed that stage.

Nationalism is now and has always been a large part of F1. Time for the powers at Force to seat a local driver (home boy).
Karthikeyan would NOW be an excellent chose. He is far from beaning a rookie.

Really, now its the right thing to do..

Narain Karthikeyan hasn't exactly set the track alight in F1, GP2 or A1 GP. I'm sure there will be an Indian driver next year given there is an Indian GP but I think it is more likely to be Karun Chandhok.

@andrew ... as if Karun was good in GP2 ... lets face it he was rubbish there, and he was pretty good in f1, but wasn't there for a whole season and maybe he cudve been tested more.

Just because Karun is a likeable person, people are not looking at his flaws.

Narain was amazing in f1 in the first half of the year in that jordan and towards the end too going quicker than williams and bar in quali in japan and China. He deserves to be there in f1!

Kf1 - Chandhok gave Senna a fair run for his money and was usually faster. If you had been paying attention, you would know that Chandhok lots his seat due to lack of sponsorship money. HRT were in severe financial difficulties and had to pick a driver with the biggest bag of cash over skill.

Karthikeyan was no where in F1. Ok he was in a Jordan which wasn't great but he never set the track alight.

Andrew

Here are some facts:

Narain - betters karun chandhok's performance while they were teammates in British F3

Narain Wins two races in A1GP - Karun's best finish in A1GP in the same Team India A1 gp car was 15th

Narain outqulifies Tiago almost everytime in F1 until Trevor Carlin is replaced for Collin Kolles, who publicly humiliates narain everytime.

Collin Kolles is famous for his anti-indian antics.
He effed around with Narain and this year replaced Karun Chandhok as soon as he was team principal

Narain deserves one more chance. ask any one they will tell you he is FAST!

@Andrew I didn't say KC not being in f1 was hit fault.

And if you say nk didn't set the track alight you were in a coma for the whole of the 05 season. He pushed the car hard every time on the track. He was superquick for the majority of the season (although not consistant, but many people are not). In addition he became a williams test driver and was not because of his sponsors, which tells something about his calibre.

Also heres for a record, hes won in every championship hes raced in except f1 (duh) and le mans series (where he raced a 3 year old audi), he set the fastest non f1 lap at interlagos.

Narain deserves anothers shot, much more than KC (who only really performed well in formula v6 asia).
