Renault F1 has agreed to pay 'substantial damages' to Nelsinho Piquet and his father for having defamed the pair in accusing them of making 'false allegations' about the infamous 'Singapore-gate' race-fixing scandal

Whistlenut.. your wrong. Renault was going down. If they didn't have a good finish or two they were going to pull the plug. Alonso and Flav came up with a great idea. And Piquet paid for it. But then again as usual. FA says he knew nothing. The same thing he said this year when Massa was told to move over. He said he never knew of the request.

This is another sad example on how people do racing nowadays. If you ask me, Mr Briatore and colleagues should be banned for life and prosecuted for FRAUD. As for Nelsinho, he should pay the consequences as well, since he was a player of the show and the FRAUD. That would set a clear example to others who try to obscure the sport in the future.

Unless the family starts their own team, I don't see any team in any type of racing having anything to do with him or his father. Although it would surprize me to see him buy a seat on some team.

Alonso could be such an easy guy to follow and admire for his fantastic driving but he is a devious little ****. Just look at the fist waving at Petrov when Petrov had the audacity to no let him past. Piquet may not have a drive in F1, but he has my admiration.
