Really? It didn't look like you were thinking this over the course of the year, for example when the steering wheel was thrown onto the racing line in Monaco.
He must be trying to praise himself of what use he mad of an average car.

Rubens, for 18 seasons u were allowing yourself to come to your weight, and now you hope to lose them? Weren't you all the while on a massive fitness programme?
Although I sense the marketing logic to claim that you are best now, that's somehow vindicating the claims that you were mediocre at Ferrari and the years before 2010 :/

He always makes these noises in the off season to try and secure his place in the mind of his team principal and sponsors, for the following season. It's like: "I know Hulk got our one pole position, but don't forget me guys! I'm still here! This next season is going to be my BEST SEASON EVER!!"

Maybe he'll keep going for another...10 seasons! Who knows? Stranger things have happened! :-)
