I remember Verstappen making a few good mistakes in his time - the only difference maybe that he didn't make them in quite the spectacular fashion that Petrov managed (e.g. Korean GP crash), not in a race at least. I remember the France GP (94) practice crash Verstappen had (I think he also went off and damaged the car in the race - it's a good accident when they change the track regulations afterwards...

But there is the difference, loads more testing / practice time in his day. Maybe he should ask himself if he was in the same position would it have been such a polished performance.... after all, Petrov managed to keep his seat in the team for the season where as Verstappens first season with Benetton ended in him missing the last 2 GPs being replaced by Herbert.

I generally agree with his comments but I think he is being a bit of a 'sensationalist' in his approach.

When you look at his career, he's had a lot of bad luck. But in the end just wasn't quick enough. And yes, also made too much mistakes.
But he's the best Dutch F1 racer our country has had in a lot of years. So in Holland, he has every right to voice his opinion.
