Lewis Hamilton has admitted that issues away from the racetrack deflected his attention while chasing a second F1 world championship title in 2010.

Well all I can say is competition is tougher than ever and let's not forget you shouldn't even have won the title in 2008, in most people's mind Massa was the champion so it's only right Vettel took the 'youngest champion' record from you.

“It's been a long time since I finished out of the top three in a championship,” well can someone remind me where Hamilton finished in 2009?

Letting Alonslow pass you 2 vital times towards end of the season (Korea and Brazil) proved that even the unlikable Spaniad is 'faster' than you.

Same could be said about Vettel's championship then Teabag. Petrov and Red handed it to him. Get real it's not the last race of the year that caused anyones TOTAL good fortune.

@ Tealeaf

Yes Hamilton finished 5th in 2009 so what he said was a load of 'nonsense' and yes Glock handed him the title after Vettel done him on track in the Torro Rosso but comments like 'Alonslow' is childish you're obviously a Vettel fan but still Alonso is a better driver

Excuses, excuses.

Lewis didn't get the job done. Admit defeat, it will against all those time he has said he is the greatest driver out there and that nothing bothers him...

Sure he didn't get the job done but what did Jenson get done? The car was never the best car with lewis pulling it to the ragged edge for that canadaian pole. If you look at it from another view its unlucky that Vettel or webber didnt take the championship lots of races beforehand that RBR6 was the MP4-4 of the modern age...

@RobO1 - no, the same thing could not be said about Vettel's WDC because Alonso still would need to pass another driver or two to get into the points. That said, i'm not a lala's fan boy, I think lala deserved the WDC in '08 regardless of circumstances. I'm not going to get into the thing of uncle Ron and Ferdi. On a different topic - does he have no shame, yes I'm talking about lala. It's utmost hypocrisy to pick your girlfriend's song on public airways.

How is it hypocritical to pick his gf's song? It's almost expected. And who knows, maybe he actually likes it.

I wanted to ask what's with all the harsh language towards Lewis, but I guess I should know better. It's refreshing to hear that these guys have personal lives and issues like the rest of us, not just robots that show up to the track. He's saying that many pieces in life need to fall in place, not just one, like your job. And that's an important thing to remember in life, and he's all the better for sharing that with the world.

I gained respect for Hami this yr. His car was not the best, but he was always pushing and making exciting passes. His aggression even got the whiners going. At least he did not wreck into Button or Webber like Seb.
