an interesting point, partly hidden in the statement, is that whitmarsh didnt want hulk to be third driver at mclaren, as he would be a "threat to button". that will certainly give button a kick in the posterior!

A testing role at McLaren for him would definitely hinder Jenson Button. Lewis has a longterm contract and Jenson is there year to year.

You never saw Ferrari with another stud driver as a 3rd driver have you. The best reserve drivers for a contending team is either a very young inexperienced guy or an older gentleman. Pretty much people who will be happy just to learn or give feedback.

If the Hulk were at McLaren. He will be banging on Whitmarsh's office door to let him drive on Fridays, and that won't go too well with Lewis or Button.

I do believe is a better candidate than Di Resta. This man is a superstar it's unbelievable this is what he's going through. Why isn't his manager unemployed by now.

I think while managing Michael Schumacher, Willi Webber had little more to do than sit back and collect the money. So he really doesn't have any experience bringing up young guys.

I'm willing to bet the Flabster would have found him a seat.

Pastor Maldonado was in GP2 before him, in his first year in the same team as Maldonado his destroyed Pastor and won the title. It took Maldonado 3 years to win the GP2 title.

Looks like Mallya is set again to bypass giving a Indian a seat at Force India. Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandhok both are Indian, and very capable.

Makes on wonder just what Mallya thinks about the fans in India or for that manner fan of F1 in general. For this picture is not pretty to see. After all this team is called FORCE INDIA.

Millions of Indian fans waiting to see their drivers having a go with the worlds best.

Mallya, its your team, your brush, paint this picture as you like ... Remember everything in life has consequences..

jose. i am sure that if there was an indian driver better than di resta or hulk, then the finance would be found to run him. unfortunately neither narain or karun have shown themselves to be anything other than mediocre. f1 ia NOT about nationalities, is is (or should be) about the best for the job
