No surprise as Venezuelan petroleum giant agrees sponsorship terms with Williams for 2011 and beyond, following Pastor Maldonado signing.

Sir Frank very good move you old Fart. You and Bernie can join forces you both now own an oil well. Your own private pirate pumpers. One Venezuela, one From
Texas, I don't know anyone in F1 that match that.
The road to the WDC was paved with Gold, now Oil.
Next i'am willing to bet the next player will be some Uranium miner from the middle East, holding the title to HRT, smiling, ready to race.
Mr. Gates have you ever though about trying F1?

If Sir Williams wanted to side with Chavez, might as well have signed Milka Duno, at least she's hot.
Anyway, I hope Maldonado proves himself because the only reason they let Hulk go and hired him was because of the $$$.
I hope he proves me wrong, but I really doubt it.

The sum of Thirty six million US$ of sponsorship money have been doing the rounds but no hint on how many years, I cannot imagine haw Williams would have managed without this deal as both RBS and Phillips are out of F1 from this year.

I really hope Williams will be fighting for podiums this year since RB helped with the development of the 2011 car. 2012's car I hope will be better now with this assured budget infusion. I really hope Maldonado will live up to the $$ he bring in.

MB said it best when the teams have to measure how much $ is bring brought in vs. how much a drive will score points in the constructors. I'm sure VP cost more than the 15M he brought in with the crashes he had and if Renault had a better driver who scored more, they could have finished higher in the constructors which is worth mega $$$
