BBC F1 commentator Martin Brundle has spoken out to rubbish rumours that he endured a difficult relationship with Jonathan Legard over the past two seasons - even though many believe he forced the former Radio 5 Live man out of his job...

Two ex-f1 drivers commentator are all well and good if your a hardcore fan , but I think 2 hours of martins and davids monotone style may put off new fans to the sport . The BBC should of kept the professional commentator , professional driver formula. Let's hope they keep the red button option for radio 5 live .

It is soo frustrating having to wait an hour after the race to listen to it with proper commentry

@Chris g...don't you dare 'tempt' the BBC into pinching Toby and Julian from Eurosport...there's farrrr too much excellent coverage there and the BBC could never compete on the quality / quantity front...not that they'd bother :(

When watching a race, on the whole, I know or can see what is happening. There are then those few occasions when I want some knowledgeable commentary to give the extra detail. Brundle should be giving that information though there are times when he doesn't or only does so when prompted by Legard's "silly questions". For the rest of the race I want the commentator to make the race exciting (even though this can be difficult in the case of some tracks, like the last race of the season). Legard did a reasonably good job of trying to inject some excitement into races.
What I don't understand is why Brundle seems to wield such influence at the BBC.

No disrespect to Coulthard, whom I like. But I dearly hoped to hear Ben Edwards back commentating on F1.I thought that he and Watson made a brilliantteam.Would miss him from BTCC though
