Alonso found it tough being the number 2 at McLaren, no question, but how could anyone that Hamilton was going to be that quick and show up a WDC on his debut year? A friend of mine at Williams finds all the talk of Hamilton recieving special treatment quite funny! Believe me at the start they invested in Alonso, as a proven WDC, it's just that Hamilton clearly blew him out of the water! They didn't agree a mega bucks contract with a driver, just to ignore his talent.

Alonso will thrive as Ferrari's number 1, it's not like '2nd rate' Massa will get anywhere near him! As such I expect him to be challenging for the title along with Vettel and Hamilton.

Let us hope for an exciting season!

Llort - how does your friend at Williams have more cred than let's suppose somebody who works for McLaren or for that matter is in the F1 media? lala has not blown Ferdi out of the water he showed up to race and was darn good from the very get go. Does that mean that lala is better than Ferdi - perhaps. I could also see a similar scenario with Vettel or Kubica arriving at McLaren that year. Vettel was no slouch when he was testing for BMW Sauber and he is after all the youngest WDC. As to the second argument that McLaren did not pay him mega bucks to ignore his talent - again Ferrari paid Kimi not to race much more then they paid anybody else for that matter. McLaren could have brought Ferdi as an insurance policy just in case their hunch did not pay off. In that case if lala wasn't all that he was suppose to be they still had a proven winner.

Eh, I dont think so, out of all the races between two cars and it happened once, talk about looking for a cheap excuse!
Not gonna be your year Felipe, You know it, Fernando knows, Ferrari knows it, We all know it!

As Alonso said, he'll probably start off the season a lot better this year, since he knows the team and he's helped in the designing. And the car now suits his driving style, not like last year.

Alonso will be a force to be reckoned with.
