Alright, so the Merc can't get the tires to work just like it couldn't last year.

I know it's way too early but I see none whatsoever reason why the Mercedes team would suddenly be a lot faster this year. Compared to the other teams their car seems very conservative and now Shuey says he feels like he's driving on ice while most other drivers say the tyre is ok (except FA but it would be really surprising if he didn't moan for a change)...

Would he really stay for a third year if he's fighting for P8 again? I think Heidfeld's day just got a whole lot better...

I think poor old Schuey just aint got it no more. Once upon a time he could drive in the wet like he was on railway tracks. Now it is like being on ice in the dry for him.

It seems that how to use tires during races is the key for success this year. I think some who are good at tire management such as Button and Kabayashi will have some advantage.

Stop taking every morsel of everything Schumacher says out of context.

If they asked ALL the drivers about the tyres they would probably have all said a similar thing, but they didn't ask all of them "only a few",and of course MSC gets asked about everything all the time.

It is obvious he is the greatest of all the drivers as he is constantly under a microscope....and by the way, he tells it straight, without pruning his conversation to suit the press! The photo shown was chosen for this article,to stir all Schumi haters.I am sure Crash has a better photo?
Schumi will be winning again, take this as read.

Schumacher having problems, Tyres this time, but its early testing nothing new..Shumey measuring stick for me is the top five in points come Monaco. This is
what I would expect from a 7 time WDC, anything less
is failure. Surely if he has the desire and
motivation and a competitive car the old master may just drive away with a another title..
For F1 that would be pure magic ..

I think tire manufacturers like to be known for making tires that LAST! What is the marketing angle for making tires that go to crap after ten laps? That is if Pirelli is actually making their tires degrade so much. Maybe they just make inferior tires.
And from what I've read a bunch of the drivers have said the tires degrade too fast and are unstable, not just Schumacher.
