come on - even klien has beaten bruno, when he drove the HRT the first time!
make it nick or klien, both are known as drivers with development skills, nick has done laps on pirellis - thats a big advantage for him

CJD sorry but the results at HRT don't mean anything with that Mickey Mouse team and car, the cars were dogs and are no base to set someone's capabilities on.

As for being harsh on Heidfeld 10 years and 174 years
Wins 0 podiums 12 pole positions 1

Kubica in half the time and a 100 less races, and he has equalled Heidfeld and beaten him with a win
Wins 1 podiums 12 pole positions 1

The guy is a waste of time they should just give Senna a chance, hopefully Senna beats Heidfelds times in Jerez testing.

Followed F1 closely since the late 80s along with other motorsport, I'm not degrading him, just think he's had his time (it could be worse, Del La Rosa springs to mind), if he doesn't produce better or as good as Petrov the pie man will look bloody silly. He didn't do much at Sauber, he's quick but as others have said....what's the point having reserve drivers

He was on closely matched with Kimi at Sauber, and faster than Massa. That car was not fast enough to challenge up front. Also, as previously stated, over three seasons at BMW he scored more than Kubica in spite of tyre warming issues that hampered him in qualifying during the two latter seasons. Before that he outpaced Webber at Red Bull. The way I see it, he has always delivered.

Well, Heidfeld states that he's in with 'more than a good chance of that seat' and that Senna is 'putting miles on the car' ( as a test driver and not for the seat itself )...he also says that he'll know a lot more come friday evening as regards how long he's got to impress in the car...unfortunately Bruno appears to have said little as his site isn't finished and his tweets are pretty thin on the ground.

If Heidfeld bags the Lotus Renault seat then that will be five teams he has raced for, (or possibly six depending on how you count Sauber/BMW)

1 Prost
2 Sauber
3 Jordan
4 Williams
5 BMW Sauber
6 Lotus Renault

At first I thought this might be a record, but then I decided the record must be held by Nelson Piquet with:

1 Ensign
2 BS
3 Parmalat
4 Fila
6 Williams
7 Lotus
8 Benneton

And surprisingly, I think Brundle has 8 as well

1 Tyrell
2 Zakspeed
3 Williams
5 Benneton
6 Ligier
7 Mclaren
8 Jordan

Any advance on 8? or more than 6 in the last 20 years?

Heidfeld? Some guys hang around like a bad smell. Never was much good and highly overated.Don't know how some people manage to keep their noses in everything.Give Senna a chance and I think he will do well in a good car.Getting fed up with all the same old in F1.I never watched a race last year and was hoping this year with new cars would be good. All cars now look exactly like the duck billed ugly RB7.Didn't think they could look worse but surprise.

People comparing Robert Kubica to Nick during BMW times are forgetting the fact BMW was working on a car to help NH instead of focusing on RK which was on top of the championship at the time. RK even mentioned it what is a lot in his case, he is not a crybaby and does not complain about every detail.
