I thought the roll over hoop regulations stopped this design, which was seen on the Mercedes last year. Acording to the Regs, the hoop must not have a design that could dig into the ground in a roll over. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this??

Jason, the rules say that the roll over hoop must have a certain width, both the Lotus and Force India have this style hoop.

Unwise aerodynamically perhaps, but apparently legal.
