I like the outcome but why late decision. This was supposed to be no brainer decision...If the Sheiks want to "play" they need to understand democratic process and stop killing innocent people.

Just seen it on BBC news which probably reported this first. I was not even looking forward to this race in the first place. Its too boring, safe, and predictable and in in the middle of nowhere (albeit a desert) I am however sorry for the trouble in war torn Middle-East. This I do not want and hope is sorted - will it ever....

Why? Has the situation in the middle east got anything to do with Tony Blairs undoubted skills as the Middle East envoy? He hasn't had the job that long but the whole place seem to going up in flames, good job he didn't muck up this country wasn't it!!!!!!!!!!!!

"After the events of the past week, our nations priority is on overcoming tragedy, healing divisions and rediscovering the fabric that draws this country together, reminding the world of the very best that Bahrain is capable of as a nation once again united."

I almost laughed...no I'm laughing reading this statement from the crown prince...Hipocrisy at its best.
