F1 » McLaren 'have a fundamental issue', car is 'a mess'

BBC F1's triumvirate of Martin Brundle, David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan have painted a bleak picture indeed for the prospects of McLaren-Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button heading into the forthcoming 2011 campaign...

Well the word is out, over shadowed by a very dark cloud...The forum is in panic mode..The BBC guys have pronounced that Big Mac car is super Dodo..
'May have to build a new one'. re. wont turn in, wont stop, wont go, Call uncle Ron, a fix is needed, a fixer uncle Ron is...

What we have is a out front promo by the talking heads at the BBC..Coulthard, Jordan, and MR. Fumble....'Who shot John', Equivocation noise,
pure Bull..Another good one Crash..

since his debut lewis hamilton has won more races than any other driver during that same period, mclaren have had no constructor titles to show for the teams efforts during that time, perhaps it is he who isnt a team player!

Sparky - no, I would not say that about lala, but Shrieker is the one that brought that into a conversation. So, I thought it was only fitting to point out that luck is a relative concept, and if he thinks that in 2010 he was a heart beat away from a WDC, then it is also fitting that in 2008 he was a heart beat away from losing it.

Why bring 2008 up ?!? People were behaving as if McLaren were backmarkers and I proved them wrong by saying they were in contention right till the end in 2010, missing by uncontrollable factors which apply to everyone of course. What's that got anything to do with 2008 ?!?

Arcuid - let's not be so quick on a trigger and judge that car before it actually hits the pavement on a race day. It maybe few tweaks away from being a contender. I do agree however, that McLaren seems to be playing catch up in the last few years. It would help if they could get Newey back, but uncle Ron is too humble of a guy to make that move. Maybe they should take a gamble on a new and upcoming new designer?
