F1 » McLaren 'have a fundamental issue', car is 'a mess'

BBC F1's triumvirate of Martin Brundle, David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan have painted a bleak picture indeed for the prospects of McLaren-Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button heading into the forthcoming 2011 campaign...

Crash.net is the best f1 site on the net for getting the news fast.None of the posts are moderated (apart from swearing that is)unlike other blatantly biased sites.

@ richard PDR was paid by Pirelli lol
no offence but I would rather take the opinion of Schumi/Hamilton/Alonso, all said the way the tyre feels and the degradation is very different to bridgestone. Lewis stated that without pushing, the tyres lasted just 9 laps(!!) bf hitting the canvas..

@MR,

I think you are being a little harsh. What is good about this site is that there are often robust and colourful discussions between posters. I find that although I may have offended others sometimes, the regular posters are pretty forgiving and show a lot of goodwill. In fact the most common complaint is when Crash does step in and edit.

A lot of interesting topics going on here! and i have enjoyed reading them. Firstly the new car! it sure looks as if we are well off the pace yet again, my question is how long can MacLaren hold on to there drivers? I have no doubt that Lewis is the best driver out there had he been in the Red Bull the season would have been over 4 races from the end of the season last year! MacLaren do not have a car desighner, although they are full of great ideas they have no one who can fullfill them. I am a Ron Dennis fan and perhaps taking him back would help! Ron wants MacLaren to be the Ferrari of the U.K. But we are well off the mark there!! as for the comments about heads will roll at MacLaren, if they do bring Ron back perhaps that will happen, lets not forget the sponcers are investing plenty of dosh into this project and they want a return??
