I think this shows us that a lot of the other statements on who is good etc is just crap. Mclaren faster than Ferrari!! ok we all know Massa isn't that great but Ferrari are supposed to be up there with Red Bull. My guess is we wont know anything other than the fact that Red Bull are fast again until a couple of races in. Lewis and Jenson will be fast dont worry.

It's correct that it's hard to judge who is where right now. But Red Bull have been setting the benchmark on almost every occasion. I'd say they were favourites.

The soft tires are very soft and fast when combined with a light fuel load. But then really they need to work on making the car work well with a heavy fuel load and worn rubber. We might see some cars race a lot better than they qualify, lets just hope these technical changes help them overtake!

don't get your hopes to high.
STR got the 2nd fastest time, that doesn't mean that they will be right behind RB at Australia GP.

Also, LuLu described the car as a "dog" and a "let-down" right after the practice.
Personally i wouldn't put to many hopes on this McLaren the car looks like a dog, drives like a dog, so it must be a dog.

I am still in awe after 7 years of following F1 how people can determine pecking orders from testing. These must be the ones who are privy to each teams program on the given day. Clearly they know fuel loads, tyre state (new vs worn), engine ( fresh, old, rev restricted ? )and even if the car used for the test is compliant with the rules. Where may I too access this information ? I've seen Williams and Toyota deliver fastest laps in Friday practice several times, then to go and dominate 6th through last positions in qualifying and racing.

I read that Massa had a medium fuel load and that Ferrari were testing new parts.

And Vettel was probably running light so that he could get first position, like he always wants.
