F1 » Ecclestone wants F1 grid reducing to ten teams again

As he renews his attack upon the F1 2010 newcomers - well, two of them anyway - Bernie Ecclestone reckons the sport would be better off returning to a ten-team limit from 2013, and you'll never guess who agrees with him...

He refers to Williams's early days - thus shoots himself in the foot. If stories of Frank using the 'phone box outside the "works" are true and you compare the value of Williams's flotation now this is a prime example of why the sport needs "acorns" which , with good fortune, can become "oaks". Yes - some will fade and disappear - Onyx , Simtec etc but others will progress and provide new "big boys".Think Bernie is a little early with this comment - it's not 1 April yet

Bernie has lost his way without Max. In years past the two would scheme and Max would make it happen. Now he is playing both sides of the fence and he is becoming more and more irrelanvant. It looks like his best bet is to side with FOTA and try and overcome the FIA influence he has used for many many years.

To me, the more the merrier. Natural attrition takes its place, however slowly, and the skill base actually increases. The only point, which Bernie doesn't actually mention, is the Driver quality. As long as that is not diluted, I don't see a problem. Bernie, your vision seems to be exactly that, YOURS, not the best!

Senile?
Flip, flip, flip, flop with his comments.

"We dont need Aus", "we do need Auz", "we need to be more green", "we don't need green engines", "happy to have them back", "Dont need them" ... blah blah blah.

Looks like the backbone has gone with age.

Re - his horrible photos ... maybe they should photograph his other face?

This man is completely senile now, its obvious.

Don't hate him, pity him. Once a great man turned into a babbling vegetable.

Of course, he never ran a cash-strapped minor team though, did he? :D
