That powerful and wealthy business and racing folk operate in this way is sad and beyond words. That a rich guy doesnt pay a poor guy his dues is cruel...

He hyjacked the name. Then refused a resonable offer to settle out of court. He is just money hungry and now has lost a key supporter. Doesn't look good Tony. Better get ready to change the livery on the car.

Tony, just pay the money as agreed.
David, you should not have let them use the name before full payment!
(try getting a hamburger from McDonalds before paying for it)
Basic business lesson.

The guy I feel most sorry for in all this is Mike Gascoyne, I can't help be think that what he has built in terms of a team in such a short period and with limited resources is reasonably true to the spirit of the F1 teams of the past like Williams, Lotus etc and it just seems unfortunate to me that he is rewarded with this hassle. Personally I think that little factory in Hingham is much more worthy of the Lotus name than a Renault branding exercise.

Poor show, should be ashamed of yourself for doing this, so many stood by you and Hunt to bring Team Lotus back and now you are acting like a petty little knob and getting greedy, Colin Chapman and Team Lotus were never about the money they were there for the racing and for the fans.

Fernandes and Hunt were only ever it for the money! They don't give a monkeys about the fans. Fernandes once said "I shan't drag the name through the mud" he obviously doesn't care. Well I hope you loose the court case and you have to rename your team!!!
