Button said that with another few laps, he'd just about be able to go from turn 4 to the top of the hit without backing off. Now that would be amazing to see! With the tameness of most of the new tracks being put on the calendar these days, a track that takes real bravery like this would be awesome.

If the Melbourne race does eventually get scrapped, wouldn't it be awesome to move the Australian GP to Bathurst? Probably won't happen for safety reasons, but hey, we can dream...

There is a link with some of the lap on foxsports.com.au

There are also some youtube videos from ppl who were at the track.

I got to see most of the lap on foxsports then again on RPM a Motorsports show here in OZ

The cameras don't do the track justice the drop from skyline down through the dipper and on to Forrest elbow is breath taking as anyone who has been around the track will confirm. The speeds these guys do it at is close to insanity.
