F1 » McLaren encouraged by progress with 'Red Bull' exhaust

A 1-2 result in second free practice at the Australian GP appears to have confirmed McLaren's reaction to its pre-season problems.

Hopefully not a false dawn. Whilst Seb will be the guy to beat, hopefully the Brits can drag one of those cars into a podium position.

I guess we will know on Sunday, anything can happen on race day...

Red Bull should ring around some photocopy shops and ask them if any books were asked to be copied that looked like they contained exhaust systems or Adrian Newey signatures javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':p').

teams copied the Fduct
teams copy each-other to achieve best performance
show me proof that McL "really copied" Ferrari's blueprint on their car. Till today,it was the biggest fine ever given in motorsport - with no 100% proof of usage.
But Ferrari are the cleanest team... riiiiiiiight... so many examples that i dont want to lose time on that. At least McL has the potential to jump back on the horse fast, and doesn't whine like people in ferrari do most of the time.
Anyhow not in the subject.

Keep dreaming McLaren.12 years without winning any constructors championship. The same will happen this year.I am sure that they will win races as usual but not the championship. The Bulls are too fast for you.Maybe Alonso will manage to challenge them, reckoning that Webber has right saying that they always use more fuel in FP than their rivals(last year this was their strategy),but the same did Red Bull in FP2.I think that FP1 gave as a much clear picture than FP2 today.Wait and see tomorrow.

what the hell .. Everyone get a RED BULL Exhaust you're bound to progress. In fact leave the car design till
after RED Bull are published .. snap away and start to reproduce.. Reliability is a McLaren possible unless they know it was all exhaust bound! Well best of luck anyways!

did you read karma's comment?

what he/she said was spot on ALL TEAMS COPY IDEAS FROM EACH OTHER. anyone thinking that every teams idea is 100% original is a complete fool.

how many teams last year adopted the blown diffuser concept after newey introduced it on the redbull?

jeez i sometimes wonder if half the people posting on here actually watch f1!!!
