Rob01 - so the manufacturer said it was thei car and not the drver? Shocking!

It was not a great start but at least he didn't end up in the kitty litter like Rubens or not make it though q1 like quick Nic. These two were the biggest disappointments of qualifying.

What some of you clowns fail to realise is that Michael has nothing to prove to anyone. He holds a number of records & his results & career speak for themselves.

You don't forget how to drive a car fast or lose your ability overnight, & clearly the Mercedes isnt a winning car, otherwise it would have been at the top at some stage.

While Michael isnt in the prime of his career, he is still fast ... which to me proves just how good Nico really is - something I've suspected for ages, but which was hidden by a useless Williams for too many years. & lets face it, Michael was fastest yesterday, Nico was today. I dont see major dominance by either driver.

Schumi re-built Ferrari from an ailing midfield team prior to 1996.

Schumi, with a great group of people around him (many of whom he recommended from Benneton) built Ferrari to be the best again

Its only because of Schumi winning championships and prize money that they could continue to pump money into their team.

Ferrari won races because of Schumi, not the other way around!

Luca di Montezemolo should be thanking Schumi, not slagging him off!

He'll probably make up two or three places come raceday - which is where I think the package they have right now is good for.

Nico will probably make up a place, so all in all, just the same story as last year.

But if what Ross has been saying is accurate, a couple of more races will see more improvement.

Schumacher may have nothing to prove but he is doing a lot of talking about how strong he will be this year.He holds a number of records, true ,but that counts for nothing on the track in 2011, there are no free passes for being a past champion. You Schumacher fanatics are a touchy lot.Sounds like the excuse factory will be working seven days a week this year.

@ Marbles

You anti-Schumacher crowd are a blinkered lot. You see what you want to see.
In winning machinary he will win, but until he has the equipment for the job, how about you back off?
There are a bunch of other drivers on that F1 grid who also didnt make Q3, yet you only see him & call it failure. Until Nico starts winning in that car, it's not a winning car, & until then no driver can perform at their peak in substandard equipment.

MattF1,well said,i can't believe Luca is slagging Michael off after all what he has done for Ferrari in the past.I so hope Michael beats both Ferrari's tomorrow and give's one back to Luca and his so ungrateful Ferrari team.Good luck Michael!

You are all forgetting the main point. The race is tomorrow not today.Being 11th isn't such a bad spot when you study the layout of the grid.

GO SCHUMI!
